The nightmare called Trillanes

Finally, the 11th winning Senator of the recently concluded mid-term election was proclaimed.  Earlier today, Comelec Chairman Benjamin Abalos read the certificate of proclamation of LtSG Antonio Trillanes IV.  Despite the delay caused by AFP Chief Gen. Hermogenes Esperon, Jr., the former Navy Lieutenant was able to attend his proclamation wearing a Barong & was handcuffed.  Security from the Marines were also provided by the Armed Forces.

Being contained inside his cell at Camp Aguinaldo, the leader of the failed Oakwood Mutiny was not allowed to leave the camp to campaign, he only had 1 TV ad which was aired on national TV.  Nobody believed that he'll make it, the survey results says that he's far from being on the 12th position.

So why he won?  The Genuine Opposition claims that this is a vindication on the action commited by Trillanes, that the people supports his caused when he plotted the coup.  That the people supports the ouster of President Gloria.

Now that he has earned hi seat on the Senate, Trillanes will be a nightmare for GMA & the leadership of the AFP.
